The Vincennes Collection: Shadowwood - 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley

Through the efforts of Judge Curtis G. Shake (Vincennes 1903) and Dr. Isaac Beckes (Vincennes ’65), President of Vincennes University, the Shadowwood Estate in Vincennes, Indiana, was donated to Sigma Pi by Colonel Eugene C. Wharf. Dedicated on August 30, 1962, during the 26th Convocation at French Lick, Indiana, Shadowwood became the Fraternity’s headquarters on July 1, 1963. Harold Jacobsen (Kenyon 1921) retired as Executive Director, and operations continued for 41 years under successive leaders. In 2005, Shadowwood was sold, and the Fraternity relocated to Tennessee.

We introduce you to The Vincennes Collection: Shadowwood. Cab is king, and this vintage is a testament to its reign. Our flagship wine showcases bold structure, deep color, and striking presence. Aromas of blackberry, kirsch, and cedar emerge over subtle notes of graphite. On the palate, it is dense and concentrated, with rich, sweet fruit and layered complexity. This is a powerful wine that will benefit from decanting or time in the glass, gradually revealing greater depth and nuance with every sip.
