Wine Information:
Ruby:Â
There are some who praise the diamond’s blaze
And the ruby’s blood-red hue
While others praise the opal’s rays
Or the sapphire’s deep clear blue
There are those who delight in the topaz bright
Or the pearl with its quiet gloss
But brighter far is each radiant star that we set in our Maltese Cross
Oh Alpha Tau Omega, our hearts are ever thine
We set them as the jewels in the Maltese Cross to shine
To these we pledge allegiance, our service true and bold
And ever we’ll be loyal to the Azure and the Gold
We introduce you to Ruby. This premium Pinot Noir is from the Russian River Valley AVA of Sonoma County. This beautiful wine is influenced mostly by the fog of the AVA and is very aromatic, with a velvet mouthfeel, and has a fruit character that is ripe and intense.
Azure and Gold:Â
Sky-Blue and Old gold have been the official colors of the Fraternity since the 1892 Nashville Congress, and join with green and white to compose a quartet of symbolic colors.
We introduce you to Azure and Gold. Balancing the fullness of fruit with the dance of elegance, this 2021 Chardonnay Napa Valley exhibits purity of fruit with melon and poached pear, then lemon custard and faint toastiness on the nose while exotic fruit notes of mango and pineapple mesh with the vanilla and spicy wood from French oak in this medium bodied wine that finishes on a sweet note.
Erskine:Â
Erskine Mayo Ross, born in Culpepper County, Virginia, in 1845, entered VMI in 1860. He moved to California after the civil war, studied law at night, and was admitted to the California bar in 1869. Elected a Justice of the SuÂpreme Court of California 10 years later, he was reelected in 1882. He was appointed a judge of the U.S. Southern District of California in 1886 and the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in 1895. He was the founder of the city of Glendale, California. Rossmoyne, a suburb of Glendale, perpetuates his name and fame. He died Dec. 10, 1928. Possessed of personal courÂage and strong quiet judgement, Judge Erskine Mayo Ross left his Fraternity a $5,000 bequest, which estabÂlished the ATO Foundation Fund.
We introduce you to Erskine. The 2019 Founders Red Wine is an artful red blend created by winemaker Todd Heth. This wine exhibits dark blackberry, bing cherry and plum notes perfectly into layers of coffee and tobacco. The finish is dry with long lasting berry fruit. Silky but firm tannins, this wine is enjoyable now but has the ability to age well in the cellar.
Ruh Rah Rega:Â
Ruh Rah Rega can be heard around campus when ATO’s celebrate a victory!
Ruh Rah Rega! Alpha Tau Omega! Hip hurrah, hip hurrah, three cheers for Alpha Tau A! T! O!
We introduce to you with tremendous pride, Ruh Rah Rega. This premium sparkling wine – meticulously and artfully made in the traditional champagne method – rivals anything found from the best Champagne houses in Épernay and Reims. Blended superbly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this magnificent Napa Valley Brut exhibits rich fruit aromatics of strawberry and delicate white cherry that follows through to a creamy mid-palate accompanied with highlights of lime and wet minerality and a lingering vibrant finish. It should be shared among brothers in celebration of all life’s victories! Ruh Rah Rega!
True Friendship:Â
The Creed of Alpha Tau Omega describes what it takes to foster a strong brotherhood. “To know no North, no South, no East, no West, but to know man as man…” is foundational to the Fraternity. Glazebrook, Marshall and Ross believed a bitterly divided nation could be reunited in peace by striving to engage one another through unconditional love. Wine is emblematic throughout the life of Jesus who is the Prince of Peace as a reminder of the example of unconditional love.
We introduce you to True Friendship. Our flagship Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic representation of the appellation’s preeminent varietal. Notes of of black cherry, blackberry and plum are complemented by hits of toasted oak, dried currant and baking spice. Fine-grained tannins and ample brightness on the palate give way to a polished mouthfeel and exceptionally long finish.

We introduce you to Topaz Bright, our 2021 Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon. The watermelon and strawberry notes burst out of the glass. When served cool on a warm day, the juicy acidity of the 2021 Rosé makes for a very refreshing and versatile wine, perfect to share on any occasion. Look for the hidden imagery in the rose petals.
