Origin is the first release in The Founders series, which honors the six men that together established the brotherhood that still lives on today. Frederick Southgate Taylor’s vision of the Fraternity predated its establishment. He gave Pi Kappa Alpha its name and presided over the first convention in 1874. As the founder who conceived the origin of the Fraternity and sought out the first members to join him in this endeavor, it’s only fitting to honor him with the first release of this series. We should all strive to approach new ventures with the same level of passion and zeal.
We introduce you to Origin. This proprietary red blend – from our award winning winemaker Todd Heth – exhibits dark blackberry, bing cherry and plum notes perfectly into layers of coffee and tobacco. The finish is dry with long lasting berry fruit. Silky but firm tannins, this wine is enjoyable now but has the ability to age well in the cellar.
