We named our winery Fairwinds to mark those special times in life when you have a fair wind and a following sea. We made this wine for you to pause and celebrate the best parts of your nautical journey with family and friends.

The cat-o'-nine-tails was made up of nine pieces of knotted cord fixed on a thick piece of rope as a handle. It was used as an authorized instrument of punishment in the British Navy until 1881. This wine is called cat-o'-nine-tails because it resisted all our attempts to discipline it.
