The Founding Collection: LOG CABIN:
Log Cabin is part of The Founding Collection which pays homage to the locations, symbols and events associated with the founding of Phi Gamma Delta. In 1795 John McMillan founded a classical school in this tiny log cabin, later to send his students to the newly chartered Jefferson College in nearby Canonsburg. McMillan’s old “log college” – the foundation of Jefferson College – was frequently visited by the men who would found Phi Gamma Delta, evidenced by McCarty’s and Fletcher’s names etched on the doorstep.
We introduce you to The Founding Collection: LOG CABIN. This proprietary red blend – from our award-winning winemaker Todd Heth – exhibits dark blackberry, bing cherry, and plum notes perfectly into layers of coffee and tobacco. The finish is dry with long-lasting berry fruit. Silky but firm tannins, this wine is enjoyable now but has the ability to age well in the cellar.
Fiji Sweetheart:
The songs of Phi Gamma Delta are a Fraternity tradition dating to our earliest days. Fiji Sweetheart of My Dreams first appeared in the fifth edition of the songbook in 1923 and has been sung to many a sorority and chapter sweetheart over the years. Without a doubt, this song meant for serenades is the perfect fit to share and sip with your Fiji Sweetheart.
We introduce you to our elegant Fiji Sweetheart Cuvée Blanc. This is an alluring and complex white wine blend, with a sensuous offering of tropical fruits, white flowers and subtle spice. The nose is like a bouquet of flowers and jumps from the glass with ripe lemon, white peach and orange blossom followed by notes of toast and white pepper. On the tongue, lemon bursts forward with pineapple and other tropical fruit, with undertones of vanilla. The finish is bright and zingy and mellows with vanilla and subtle spices in its length.
