Sigma Kappa’s story began in 1874. At Colby College in Waterville, Maine, our courageous Founders bonded together as the first women admitted to college in New England. They were boldly determined to carve out a place in what had traditionally been a space reserved for men. The trail they blazed inspired the formation of sororities on the basis of scholarship, friendship, mutual interests and ideals. Here’s to Mary Low, Elizabeth Hoag, Ida Mabel Fuller, Louise Coburn and Frances Mann who created a better environment for future generations of women.

We introduce you to 1874 Reserve. Our flagship Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic representation of the appellation’s preeminent varietal. Notes of of black cherry, blackberry and plum are complemented by hits of toasted oak, dried currant and baking spice. Fine-grained tannins and ample brightness on the palate give way to a polished mouthfeel and exceptionally long finish.
