Service is the third release in The Founders series, which honors the six men that together established the Pi Kappa Alpha brotherhood. As a Quaker, Robertson Howard did not bear arms in the Civil War choosing to work instead in military hospitals saving lives. Completing a medical degree at Georgetown University at age 18, he believed himself too young to practice medicine and enrolled at the University of Virginia for post-graduate work. It was there, with his roommate James Benjamin Sclater Jr., Howard attended the first meeting of Pi Kappa Alpha. Howard later both taught and practiced medicine, and earned a law degree. Pikes everywhere emulate his selflessness and dedication to serving others.
We introduce you to Service. Our proprietary red blend always exhibits the craft of blending, where all the parts complement the round character of the final wine. Deep dark saturated color, with spicy plum and black cherry, tobacco, cinnamon, and floral and camphor hints on the nose while on the palate it is voluptuous, dark fruited, juicy, round and long lasting with currant, dark chocolate, roasted beets and a persistent finish in this full-bodied wine.
