It was in William Archibald Walsh’s room, at the southernmost end of the old South Dorm at Washington College, that James Ward Wood proposed a toast to Walsh and William Nelson Scott, a toast to “the two Williams,” on December 21, 1865. They swore together for a mutual pledge of faith and loyalty. Thus, Kappa Alpha Order was born. Raise your own toast with this Founders Red, featuring a beautiful dark color from a concentrated vintage, this wine leads out with brooding dark fruit aromas of black cherry, blackberries and baking spices with some underlying clay earth and toasty oak. This full-bodied wine is juicy and approachable, but with time, like our Order, ages well and comes from a deep and heralded vintage.
