Presidential:

In 1934, Elizabeth Coulter Stephenson wrote the Legend of the Rose Garden. In it, she states “Looking at the center of the rose we marvel no longer at the beauty and strength of the sepals and petals, for strong straight and majestic in the very center of the rose stands the pistil, symbolical of the Grand president. Supporting this central point are the stamens, symbolical of the officers of the Grand Council.”

The rose is not just a symbol of our sisterhood, but a symbol of our leadership signifying the strength of our leaders far and wide. We raise a glass to our leaders of the past who have left a legacy and pave the way for the future.

We introduce you to Presidential. This 2019 Red Wine is an artful red blend created by winemaker Todd Heth. This wine exhibits dark blackberry, bing cherry and plum notes perfectly into layers of coffee and tobacco. The finish is dry with long lasting berry fruit. Silky but firm tannins, this wine is enjoyable now but has the ability to age well in the cellar.

Archives:

Over the years, in honor of our founding, many gifts have been presented to the University to celebrate anniversaries. In 1927, Delta Zeta presented the Sun Dial to Miami University, commemorating the Sorority’s Silver Anniversary. As we near Delta Zeta’s 125th Anniversary and prepare to celebrate, as countless before us have come and gone, we remember that our sisterhood marches on before this dial of time.

We introduce you to our Archives Pinot Noir. From the Russian River Valley AVA of Sonoma County, this beautiful wine is influenced mostly by the fog of the AVA and is very aromatic, with a velvet mouthfeel, and has a fruit character that is ripe and intense.

The Loving Cup:

The Legend of the Loving Cup was introduced to Delta Zeta in 1916. Eros, God of Eternal Love, gave a three-handled cup to a young maiden as a pledge of his enduring fellowship. Delta Zeta chapters were given loving cups when they were installed, with the beautiful ceremony accompanying this special treasure. The three handles of the cup represent the love, the unity and the unbroken friendship which encircle members of Delta Zeta to this day.

As you raise a glass of The Loving Cup, remember the circle of sisterhood supporting you throughout your Delta Zeta journey.

We introduce you to The Loving Cup. This Chardonnay is a real gem. Hailing from the cool and foggy climate for the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, this beautiful medium-bodied wine was grown slowly to build intense flavors over time. This wine was aged in French oak and displays a beautiful balance of fruit, oak and liveliness on the palate and exhibits lush mango and toasted almond. Balanced fruit with tarte acidity makes this wine a classic example of Premium Russian River Chardonnay.

The Rose:

Few symbols mean as much to Delta Zetas as the Killarney rose. A symbol of gratitude, grace, admiration and joy, the rose is the blend of red of courage and the white of purity. Each of us comes to Delta Zeta as a bud, a new member, and through our Delta Zeta experience blossom into the women we are today.

We introduce you to The Rose. This premium sparkling wine – meticulously and artfully made in the traditional champagne method – rivals anything found from the best Champagne houses in Épernay and Reims. Blended superbly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this magnificent Napa Valley Brut exhibits rich fruit aromatics of strawberry and delicate white cherry that follows through to a creamy mid-palate accompanied with highlights of lime and wet minerality and a lingering vibrant finish.
