Heritage Rose:

The applause that interrupted that 1976 Convention after the announcement of a rose named Delta Gamma was the start of a story that continues to this day. While the cream rose had been chosen as the official rose at the 1885 Convention, this new rose would be cultivated specifically to be the formal rose of the Fraternity. It is the only rose of such an organization to be registered with the American Rose Society. Described as having large, beautiful blooms, it thrived in warmer climates and was susceptible to freezes. In 2020, the last known specimen of the Delta Gamma rose perished from disease. In celebration of the sesquicentennial celebration, Delta Gamma began working with a new rosarian to cultivate the Delta Gamma Heritage rose. This new rose will continue the legacy of this age-old symbol of Delta Gamma.

We introduce you to our elegant Heritage Rose Cuvée Blanc. This is an alluring and complex white wine blend, with a sensuous offering of tropical fruits, white flowers and subtle spice. The nose is like a bouquet of flowers and jumps from the glass with ripe lemon, white peach and orange blossom followed by notes of toast and white pepper. On the tongue, lemon bursts forward with pineapple and other tropical fruit, with undertones of vanilla. The finish is bright and zingy and mellows with vanilla and subtle spices in its length.
