We took Brown’s approach of strategic and thorough preparation – that is core to the Bengals and every NFL team still to this day – to handcraft this championship-caliber red wine.

We introduce you to Playbook. This proprietary red blend – from our award-winning winemaker Todd Heth – exhibits dark blackberry, bing cherry, and plum notes perfectly into layers of coffee and tobacco. The finish is dry with long-lasting berry fruit. Silky but firm tannins, this wine is enjoyable now but has the ability to age well in the cellar.

Tasting Notes

Crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, and Zinfandel, this 2018 Napa Valley Red Blend is rich and beautifully balanced. Layers of blackberry and ripe cherry are accented by notes of coffee, tobacco, and warm spice. Plush tannins lead to a long, dry finish with lingering berry fruit, making this wine equally enjoyable today or after years of graceful aging.
