Black Lantern: 

The Black Lantern Processional is one of our brotherhood’s public rituals and one of Alpha Sigma Phi’s oldest. It was born at Yale University in the mid - 1800s. Traditionally, those selected for membership were placed into the line in between brothers and taken to the place where they were to be initiated. Today the processional is used to celebrate Founders’ Day, to mark the anniversary of a chapter, to gather new members for the Initiation ceremony, or as a memorial for our deceased brothers.

We introduce you to Black Lantern. Our flagship Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic representation of the appellation’s preeminent varietal. Notes of black cherry, blackberry and plum are complemented by hits of toasted oak, dried currant and baking spice. Fine-grained tannins and ample brightness on the palate give way to a polished mouthfeel and exceptionally long finish.

Twin Roses: 

The original flower of Alpha Sigma Phi was the cardinal rose, symbolizing the deep and abiding friendships fostered within the mystic circle. The flower of Alpha Kappa Pi was the yellow tea rose, symbolic of the fragrance and the purity of life that is lived in honor and fair dealing with our fellow man.

Alpha Kappa Pi and Alpha Sigma Phi joined to become one Fraternity. We bind the cardinal rose and the yellow tea rose together with the colors of the fraternity – Cardinal and Stone – forming twin roses of Alpha Sigma Phi. Together the roses are a symbol of endless life and emblematic of the continuing vitality and heritage of our fraternity.

We introduce you to Twin Roses. From the chalky soil of the Carneros region in southern Napa Valley, this gem exhibits lush green apple and bright grapefruit notes while dancing across your palate. This stunning wine is light and friendly with very subtle vanilla and pear blossom hints on the nose. Balanced fruit with tarte acidity makes this wine a classic example of Premium Napa Chardonnay.
