The Bushnell Guild was the predecessor of Gamma Chapter at the University of Illinois. Initially called the Congregational Guild it changed to the Bushnell Guild in 1918 and then became Gamma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Lambda in 1921. The principles of Christianity, Scholarship, Citizenship and Fellowship aligned well with the Ideals of Alpha Kappa Lambda. This was the first chapter outside of California. Its iconic house was located on 401 E. Daniel St.
We introduce you to Bushnell Guild. This proprietary red blend – from our award-winning winemaker Todd Heth – exhibits dark blackberry, bing cherry, and plum notes perfectly into layers of coffee and tobacco. The finish is dry with long-lasting berry fruit. Silky but firm tannins, this wine is enjoyable now but has the ability to age well in the cellar.
